The Institute of Graduate Studies and Research is responsible for overseeing, processing and coordinating matters concerning graduate admissions, research and teaching assistantships, thesis and dissertation proposals, supervisions, examinations, defences and submissions, and administration of graduate programs, subject to the by-laws of the University and the regulations laid down by the University Senate.

Council of the Institute
The Council of the Institute is comprised of Deans of Faculties and Chairs, or representatives delegated by the Chairs, of departments which offer programs of study leading to Master's or Doctoral degrees.
