End of program duration. (all courses and term project should be completed with a minimum CGPA of 3.00)

Course, seminar (in case of failure) and thesis registration

All courses and seminar should be completed with a minimum CGPA of 3.00.

The last term to defend thesis for students who will graduate at the end of the regular duration

Term Extension Application should be done prior to course registration. (via student portal)

Thesis Monitoring Committee should be assigned in one month following the succesfull pass from the qualifying exam.

The thesis proposal should be prepared and defensed within six months after the qualifying exam. All relevant forms must be submitted to the Institute.

End of program duration

All courses, seminar, qualifying exam, publication requirement and thesis defense should have been completed successfully.

If the student completed all courses, seminar and submits the thesis to Institute and sends his/her article to a scientific journal for publication, he/she can apply for an "Awaiting Publication" status for at most five academic years, only at the end of 12th term.

Students who registered only to English Support courses; ENGL 509 or ENGL 511, are not allowed to register to any deficiency or program courses.

Students who registered only to Turkish Support courses; TUSL 501 or TUSL 503, are not allowed to register to any deficiency or program courses.

The academic semester starts to count when a program course is taken.

Those semesters registered only to deficiency and English Support courses (ENGL509/511/513/515) are not included in the maximum duration of semesters allowed to complete the given graduate program.

The deficiency program should be completed in one academic year.
